In some cases, applicants will need to provide a 1099 or W2 Tax record. Failure to provide these items could result in a delay or rejected application. A credit report and criminal background check will be conducted for all adult applicants. Preferred credit score is 600 or better. HMC may be required by the property owner to collect a security deposit equal to 1-2 months of the rental amount, depending on the applicant’s rental and credit history. Two months is the maximum allowed by Maryland Law.
